The genius of Dr Rolf's work rests on her insight that the body is more at ease and functions most efficiently when it's structure is balanced in gravity.

Our relationship with gravity determines whether our journey through life will be one of buoyancy and lightness, or tension and struggle. Gravity affects us in a positive supportive way when all the major segments of our body come into vertical alignment in a relaxed balanced manor.

On the other hand , when the body deviates from its vertical alignment, gravity's force becomes a negative event, dragging us down.  The body is then required to exert unnecessary muscular effort to stay up right.
